[Dandadan] How Strong is Seiko (Granma)? Ranking the "Strongest Psychics/Exorcists" alongside "Nube" and "Blue Exorcist"

Among the fascinating characters in Dandadan, the one who stands out the most is undoubtedly Momo's grandmother, Seiko Ayase.

She looks like a stunningly beautiful "big sister," but inside, she's a "Grandma" who speaks rough Osaka dialect. However, her skills are the real deal! Using barrier techniques and beating up aliens and spirits with a baseball bat in hand, she is truly the epitome of a "Reliable Adult."

But the manga world is full of legendary psychics and exorcists. Just how strong is Seiko compared to them? Today, I’m holding the "Strongest Psychic/Exorcist Ranking," chosen by Osamu’s personal bias! I’ve pitted her against the heavyweights from Hell Teacher Nube and Blue Exorcist!

#5: Arataka Reigen (Mob Psycho 100)

Title: Director of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office

First up is this man! The "Greatest Psychic of the 21st Century (Self-proclaimed)," Master Reigen. ...What? You ask if he's a fraud? No, no, his greatest weapons are "Talk Jutsu" (Speech), "Physical Attacks" (like Salt Splash), and above all, his "Mental Care Ability" to guide his disciple (Mob) to the right path. Even with zero spiritual power, his ability to talk evil spirits into passing on or debunking con artists is, in a sense, the strongest. If he got into an argument with Seiko, it might be a close match (lol).

#4: Shiro Fujimoto (Blue Exorcist)

Title: Paladin

At number 4 is the foster father of the protagonist Rin Okumura and the strongest exorcist. He is a "Paladin" who mastered every anti-demon combat technique, from handling firearms to summoning demons and chanting arias. His resistance to Satan's possession through sheer willpower and his willingness to bet his life to protect his children remind me of the strength of a "Guardian" that Seiko also possesses. In his prime, he might have instant-killed something like Turbo Granny.

#3: Seiko Ayase (Dandadan)

Title: Dodoria Santa

Here she is! Our very own Seiko! Her strengths are her "Skillful use of borrowed power" and "Barrier Techniques." Her style of offense and defense combined—setting up powerful barriers by borrowing power from the land's gods (local spirits) and beating enemies with physical attacks (bat) infused with her own spiritual power—is formidable. Within her own territory of "Kamikoshi City," she is capable of going toe-to-toe with Special Grade-class spirits. Above all, her guts to make you feel "it's going to work out somehow" even in a desperate pinch make her number one in this ranking!

#2: Anna Kyoyama (Shaman King)

Title: Itako (Spirit Medium)

Number 2 is the legendary Itako, Anna. Beyond her "Kuchiyose" (channeling spirits into herself), her ability as a shikigami user to command god-class spirits is off the charts. Furthermore, her defense using "Kikouji" to nullify opponent's attacks and her physical attacks with her slap (the Phantom Left) are powerful. Her queen-like temperament declaring "I am the best" and the strength to back it up. A face-off with Seiko would be the "Ultimate Landlady Showdown."

#1: Meisuke Nueno (Hell Teacher Nube)

Title: Japan's Only Psychic Teacher

Taking the glorious #1 spot is, of course, this teacher! Meisuke Nueno, aka Nube! The "Demon Hand" sealed in his left hand is the ultimate weapon that cuts through anything, spiritual or physical, and sends it back to the underworld. Additionally, his range of skills as a psychic, including exorcism via sutras, crystal gazing, and searching with spirit crystals, is on another level. He is usually clumsy and poor, but in his conviction that "I will exceed my limits, even sacrificing my life, to protect my students (children)," he is invincible. If he teamed up with Seiko, evil spirits on Earth would undoubtedly go extinct (lol).

[Conclusion] Seiko is the "Strongest Modern Guardian"!

What did you think? She might be a step behind Nube with his Demon Hand or Anna who commands gods, but Seiko's strength in fighting using "Wisdom, Tools, and the Power of the Land" is undoubtedly top-class.
