At the heart of the story of One Piece is the dream of becoming the Pirate King. But what if the characters had chosen a different dream or path instead of becoming a pirate? Osamu Manga has created a fictional ranking of One Piece characters who don't aim to become the Pirate King! Let's take a look at their new possibilities.

No. 5: Sanji - "Aiming to be the world's best chef"

If Sanji's dream was to reach the top of the culinary world instead of becoming the All Blue, he would train at a super high-end restaurant and eventually become famous as a three-star Michelin chef. With the belief that "I will make the world happy with the food I love," he will continue to shine as a top chef who captures the hearts of gourmets.

No. 4: Chopper - "Becoming a bridge between animals and humans"

What if Chopper chose to aim for "coexistence between animals and humans" instead of becoming a doctor? He would work as an animal behaviorist in zoos and nature reserves, teaching people the importance of coexistence with nature. With his cute appearance and kindness, he is likely to be an active educator who gives children dreams.

3rd place: Zoro – “Live as a guard, not the strongest swordsman”

What if Zoro had chosen to use his sword skills to “protect” instead of aiming to be the “world’s best swordsman”? He would travel around the country as a bodyguard, protecting the weak. He would sometimes serve as a guard for wealthy merchants and royalty, and would be remembered as a legendary swordsman who saved people in crisis.

2nd place: Nami – “Become famous as the world’s best adventurer”

If Nami had chosen to be an “adventurer” instead of a pirate, she would discover new uncharted lands one after another with her talent for mapmaking and navigation. As she pursues her dream of “drawing maps of the world,” she would work with scientists and explorers and make her mark in history as a leading expert in cartography.

1st place: Luffy – “Become a revolutionary who symbolizes freedom”

What if Luffy had acted as a revolutionary seeking “freedom” instead of the pirate king? He would become a leader who liberates people suffering under oppression, and become a hero who builds a new era with many of his allies. Luffy's journey of adventure and revolution, aiming for "a world where everyone can live freely," should give hope to many people.

Extra: Usopp - "Become a writer who spins legendary stories"

If Usopp had chosen to be a storyteller instead of a pirate, his imagination would have been fully utilized. He would have written pirate adventures and epic fantasy novels, and become a best-selling author who fascinated many fans. I can even imagine him putting out hype as a character in his own story.

Summary: They continue to shine as they pursue their dreams even if they are not pirates!

Even if they do not choose the path of pirates, the characters of "One Piece" will continue to pursue their dreams in new ways, making use of their individual personalities and talents. By imagining their choices, you can enjoy the story in a different way!

Which character's "what if story" would you like to see? Please let us know in the comments! Let's draw a new world of "One Piece" together with Osamu's manga!
